Students from the Illa de Rodes institute in Roses, Girona province, marked Europe Day this Friday morning at the Cotxeres de Sants Civic Centre in Barcelona.

They were joined by pupils from three other educational centres in Girona province: Jaume Vicens Vives in Girona, Salvador Espriu in Salt, and Josep Brugulat in Banyoles. These four schools are all part of the European Parliament's Ambassador Schools programme.

Girona Schools Join European Programme

The Ambassador Schools programme aims to raise awareness among young people about European parliamentary democracy and European values. Participating schools organise activities and events throughout the academic year to promote understanding of the European Union and its institutions. The Europe Day celebration in Barcelona provided a key opportunity for students to engage directly with these themes and connect with peers from other regions.
