Roses has unveiled a new visitor guide for its Ciutadella archaeological site, designed to enhance the experience for those exploring the historic location.
The guide provides a historical overview, tracing the site's past from the Greek era to the present day. It also outlines a suggested tour route and includes detailed descriptions of various features visitors can see, according to Roses officials.
Digital Integration for Research Updates
Beyond the printed pages, the guide incorporates QR codes. These codes link to a dedicated webpage that will be regularly updated with new findings from ongoing archaeological research.
The official presentation of the new publication is scheduled for Saturday, 9 May, at 10:30am. The event will feature speeches from the authors, Dr. Marc Bouzas and Dr. Lluís Palahí, who are the director and technician of the relevant academic chair. Sílvia Ripoll, the local Councillor for Culture, will also speak.
Following the presentation, attendees can join a guided visit of the archaeological site. This activity is free and open to the public, officials confirmed.
The new guide aims to make the rich history of the Ciutadella more accessible and engaging for all visitors, integrating both traditional and digital information resources.
