Lloret de Mar, Girona, will host its second Senior Citizens' Week from 25 to 31 May, offering more than 15 activities for older residents. The programme, part of the “Lloret al teu Costat” (Lloret by your Side) project, focuses on placing people at the centre of community initiatives.

Adrià Lamelas, the Mayor of Lloret, highlighted the importance of the town's older generation. He said, “Lloret’s senior citizens are the ones who have made it possible for us to enjoy everything we have now. It is a pleasure to dedicate a week to all these people who make our municipality a better place to live. We invite everyone to enjoy this themed week, with different proposals.”

The Senior Citizens' Week is part of the broader “Lloret al teu Costat” project, which represents a new model for Welfare and Family services, aiming to centre its efforts around the needs of individuals.
