Final tour date confirmed for July 2027
Rod Stewart will bring his farewell world tour, The Final Encore, to the CaixaBank Tarraco Arena in Tarragona on 8 July 2027. The concert marks the singer’s only scheduled appearance in Catalonia during what he has declared his last major international tour after more than six decades on stage. The British rock icon, aged 81, announced the European leg of The Final Encore this week, with the tour launching on 23 April 2027 in Dublin and including stops at major venues such as The O2 in London, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, and Uber Arena in Berlin.
A career-spanning live show
According to organisers Grup Clipper's, the Tarragona performance will feature a full band, backing vocalists, and a production designed to showcase Stewart’s greatest hits, including Maggie May, Sailing, Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Have I Told You Lately, Rhythm of My Heart, Hot Legs, and Forever Young. Stewart has stated that while this tour signifies his departure from life on the road, it does not mean retirement from music altogether.
Tarragona thus joins a route that will take Rod Stewart across some of Europe’s largest stages during spring and summer 2027, making the 8 July date a unique opportunity to bid farewell live to one of the greats of the 20th century.
Tickets go on sale Monday
Tickets for the Tarragona concert will go on sale at 10:00 on Monday 5 October via the Tarraco Arena website and through the ticketing platform of Diari de Tarragona. So far, only Valencia and Tarragona have announced Spanish dates, with no further Catalan or national tour stops currently listed. Stewart, who has sold over 250 million records worldwide and been inducted twice into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, most recently performed at Glastonbury Festival’s Legends Slot in June 2025. His 2024 tour One Last Time ranked among the world’s top 20 highest-grossing tours that year.
