Red Cross Bages will open the exhibition "Dones davant la guerra" (Women Facing War) in Manresa on 8 May 2026. This special awareness and reflection day aims to give a voice to women's experiences in war contexts. The event coincides with International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.

The programme includes the exhibition's presentation and a short film screening. It will take place at 11am at the Selves i Carner Civic Centre, located at Carrer Bernat Oller, 14, in Manresa's Saldes-Plaça Catalunya neighbourhood.

Highlighting Women's War Experiences

The initiative by Red Cross Bages seeks to raise public awareness about the often-overlooked impact of conflict on women. By sharing these stories, the organisation hopes to encourage reflection on the challenges and resilience shown by women during wartime. This event is part of a broader effort to recognise the diverse roles women play and the unique hardships they face in conflict zones.

The exhibition and film are designed to provide insight into personal narratives, moving beyond general statistics to focus on individual human experiences. This approach aligns with the Red Cross's mission to protect human dignity and provide humanitarian aid in times of crisis.
