Sant Boi de Llobregat, in Baix Llobregat, has seen the opening of 11.9 kilometres of new B-25 motorway sections, according to Spain's Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. The work is part of a wider project to extend the motorway in the area and improve links between the C-32 and the A-2.
The overall project has a budget of €65.8 million. An initial 1.95 kilometres of the extension opened in late April, and this latest phase adds new connections between the B-25 and the C-31C, B-20 and C-32 within Sant Boi de Llobregat.
The ministry says the changes also include a new access roundabout and upgraded connection ramps with the C32-B in El Prat de Llobregat, also in Baix Llobregat. Drivers travelling from Barcelona on the B-20 can now switch to the B-25, reach an elliptical roundabout, and connect to Sant Boi Centre or Sant Boi Parellada.
Drivers can also use the B-20 from Barcelona to access the C-31-C. From there, they can continue to the Viena roundabout or enter the Sant Boi Commercial Centre area.
