The Girona Police Region, the oldest within the Mossos d'Esquadra, is undergoing a generational shift among some of its most experienced commanders. Several long-serving officers are leaving or will soon leave key positions, either due to retirement or moving to second-line duties, according to Diari de Girona.

These changes affect the police stations in Figueres, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and Olot. Additionally, the Regional Traffic Area (ART) in Girona is also seeing new leadership take over.

New Leadership in Key Stations

The movements mark a significant transition for the region. Commanders with extensive careers in the territory are stepping down, making way for new leadership. This process ensures continuity while bringing fresh perspectives to the force's operations in Girona.
