The mobile Citizen Service Office (OAC) visited six municipalities in Alt Empordà this week: Darnius, Espolla, Portbou, Llançà, El Port de la Selva, and Cadaqués. This initiative, from the Generalitat de Catalunya's Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration, aims to bring public administration services closer to citizens, especially those in smaller towns or areas further from major cities.

The mobile OAC is a vehicle fitted with technology to offer a wide range of administrative procedures and services. These include applying for certificates, processing grants, checking files, and booking appointments for other services.

Local Collaboration and Positive Reception

During its stop in each municipality, the mobile OAC worked with local councils. The councils provided public spaces for the vehicle to serve residents. Information sessions were also organised to explain the services available from the mobile OAC and to answer questions.

Residents in Alt Empordà welcomed the mobile OAC. They valued the convenience and ease of completing procedures without needing to travel to central offices. This initiative is part of the Government's policies to improve access to public services and reduce the digital divide.
