Manresa will host its 10th annual Diables Gathering this Saturday, 30 May, bringing a major festive event to the Bages capital. The gathering also marks 40 years since the founding of the Diables de Manresa, a section of Xàldiga taller de festes.

Around 150 diables, or devils, are expected to take part. The event is held every year in Manresa in the week before La Patum festival.

The gathering will feature the Diables de Manresa and the Diablons i Tabalons de Xàldiga. Invited groups include the Tronats de mar de Vilanova i la Geltrú and the Diables d’Esparreguera, according to officials.

This year’s edition carries added significance because it marks a decade since the first Diables Gathering in Manresa. The Diables de Manresa group has been part of local festivities for four decades.
