A man was injured in Barcelona early on Sunday morning after trying to intervene in a large fight at La Pau metro station, according to Mossos d'Esquadra sources.
The incident happened at about 3am on the L4 line. Around 20 people were involved in the brawl, and the cause is still unknown.
Sources close to the investigation said the injured man was homeless, was at the station but not involved in the original dispute, and tried to mediate between the two groups. He was then stabbed in the gluteus.
When officers arrived, the people involved had already left the station, Mossos sources said. No arrests were made at the time.
