Lleida, Catalonia, is at the centre of a new insolvency report on Lleida CF, which says the club is “structurally unviable” and carries total debt of €6,374,195.51. The document was submitted to the Commercial Court in Lleida and signed by insolvency administrator Luis Alberto Mir.

The report says the club’s problems began almost from its inception. It also identifies several creditors linked to the club’s president, Luis Pereira, and assistant to the presidency, Marc Torres. Vivienda S.A.R.L., a company solely managed by Pereira, is listed as a creditor for €66,000, while Pereira also waived about €2.5 million he had invested in the club.

Two companies connected to Marc Torres are also named. Torres Advocats i Assessors SLP is owed €9,591.07, and Torres Gestió SL has claims for €4,883.02. The report lists nearly 50 creditors in total.

Most of the debt is owed to public administrations. The Spanish Tax Agency, Agència Tributària, has claims totalling €2,181,001.90, split between general privileged, ordinary and subordinated debt. Social Security is owed €2,939,605.68, also divided across several creditor categories.

Other significant creditors include Royalverd Service SLU, with €420,000, Actif Ponent SL, with €194,420.95, and Deporte y Ocio Inversión y Evaluación, with €176,304.65. The report values the club’s realisable assets at just €202,820.97, with liquid funds spread across two bank accounts and an estimated €7,000 from ticket sales.

The administrator’s conclusions are severe. The report says the club’s activity, as structured from the start, was not viable in its “very genesis”, and that neither the first managers nor later ones managed to change a business model that could not cover ordinary costs. It also says the administrative relegation to Tercera RFEF further damaged income, while the absorbing company began operations with high debt and liabilities to public administrations that it cannot meet.
