Lleida CF in Lleida is on course for liquidation after failing to present any proposal to creditors to deal with its €6.37 million debt. The Mercantile Court deadline passed without an agreement, so liquidation is now the likely next step, according to Segre.

The club had 15 days to negotiate with creditors and put forward a solution, especially for debts owed to the Tax Agency and the General Treasury of Social Security. No formal proposal was filed, which means the court is expected to open the liquidation phase.

The total debt stands at €6,374,195.51, even after club president Luis Pereira waived €2.5 million in claims, according to the insolvency report seen by Segre. Public administrations are the main creditors.

The Tax Agency is claiming more than €2.18 million, while Social Security is seeking nearly €2.94 million. Sources close to the procedure believe the insolvency administrator could complete the liquidation before 31 July. If that does not happen, the final resolution could be delayed until September, because August is a non-working month for legal proceedings unless there are urgent circumstances.

Meanwhile, the club plans to pay the last outstanding payroll for the squad today, around €24,000. Other ordinary commitments, including pitch maintenance, ambulance services and federation fees, are also due, which will further reduce the club's available cash.

According to the insolvency report, the club's treasury held €124,645.72 and €71,175.25 across two bank accounts. The season's financial management, supervised by the insolvency administrator, means the club is expected to close the financial year without new debts to employees, suppliers or current services.
