Four people were arrested and seven others cited for immigration irregularities in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat last Thursday. The extensive joint police operation, part of the Kanpai plan, focused on the Santa Eulàlia, La Florida, and Collblanc metro stations.

The operation, coordinated by the Mossos d'Esquadra, Policía Nacional, and L'Hospitalet's Guardia Urbana, aimed to combat repeat offending and deter violent street robberies. These crimes, according to officials, cause significant public concern in the area.

Targeting Repeat Offenders

Sixty-five people were identified during the intervention. Four individuals were immediately arrested after checks revealed outstanding judicial warrants, according to the Mossos d'Esquadra. Regional police also issued four reports for possession of narcotics and sanctioned two mobile phone shops for regulatory breaches found during inspections.

Policía Nacional officers focused on document checks. They cited seven people who were found to be in Spain irregularly, violating immigration law. Meanwhile, the Guardia Urbana of L'Hospitalet removed six electric scooters, which were taken to the municipal depot. They also recovered a stolen mobile phone and reported one person for drug possession on the street.

This operation follows previous efforts to address crime in L'Hospitalet. Earlier, the Guardia Urbana sealed a problematic bar in Collblanc after discovering a cockroach infestation, according to Metrópoli Abierta. The ongoing Kanpai plan continues to coordinate police efforts against various forms of urban crime.
