L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, located in the Barcelona metropolitan area, will start accepting applications this Saturday for 27 new positions within its Guardia Urbana local police force. The recruitment drive is designed to guarantee and improve local police services, according to the city council.

The application period will remain open until 15 June. Notably, 40% of these new positions will be reserved for women. This measure aims to increase female representation and promote equality within the police force, the council stated in a press release.

This new recruitment is part of a broader "modernisation process" for the Guardia Urbana, which the city council has been implementing over recent months. Since June 2024, the force has already welcomed 60 new agents.
