L'Armentera, in the Alt Empordà region, will host its first charity concert on 15 June, dedicated to raising funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research.

The event is scheduled for 7.30pm in Plaça de la Vila. It will feature performances by La Cobla Sant Jordi – Ciutat de Barcelona, the traditional music group La Portella del Vent, and classical singer Xavier Coll.

All funds collected from the concert will go directly to ALS research being conducted at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona.

Supporting ALS Research Efforts

Tickets for the concert are priced at €15. They can be purchased at L'Armentera Town Hall, El Pont bookshop in Figueres, or online via www.concertsolidari.cat.

Organisers have emphasised the critical role of public solidarity in advancing research into ALS. The disease currently has no cure and affects thousands of people across Spain, according to the organisers.
