Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), the Catalan government-owned railway and mountain-resort operator, will promote the cycling services at La Molina and Vallter during Sea Otter Europe in Girona from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026.
Visitors to FGC's stand will be able to use virtual-reality glasses simulating a bike descent at La Molina BikePark. For Girona residents, visiting cyclists and families attending the fair, the stand will provide a chance to explore mountain-bike routes and facilities in the Cerdanya and Ripollès areas before planning a trip.
La Molina routes and family facilities
FGC will present facilities for downhill, enduro, mountain biking and cross-country cycling at La Molina, a mountain resort in Cerdanya.
- A downhill area with seven circuits.
- A freestyle and woodpark area with modules at different difficulty levels.
- An 11-kilometre cross-country circuit.
The operator will also promote its Bikepark Kids area, introduced this summer. It has three beginner circuits designed to help children and families learn downhill mountain-biking skills progressively in a controlled setting.
Adapted bikes and Vallter's high-altitude stop
La Molina also has adapted mountain bikes for disabled riders through its collaboration with the Fundació Johan Cruyff. The resort's Centre d'Esport Adaptat, its adapted-sport centre, supports accessible sporting activity.
Vallter will be presented as part of the Ruta del Ter cycling route, which links the Pyrenees with the Costa Brava. The resort has a cyclist rest area at 2,150 metres beside the La Portella restaurant, with loungers, tables and bike-maintenance tools.
Sea Otter Europe takes place in Girona from 18 to 20 September. Visitors can check attendance information and the programme through the official Sea Otter Europe website.
