Igualada, in Central Catalonia, will see Institució Igualada add three new sports-related vocational training programmes next academic year, according to the centre. The new courses are a Football Intermediate Vocational Training Cycle and two Advanced Vocational Training Cycles, Physical Conditioning, and Socio-sports Teaching and Animation.

The expansion is part of the vocational training project run by Cademin, the vocational training entity of Institució Familiar d’Educació. The centre says it is strengthening its in-person training offer and responding to growing demand in the sports sector.

The Football Intermediate Vocational Training Cycle will focus on coaching, team management, sports promotion, and refereeing. The Physical Conditioning cycle will cover planning and evaluating physical and sports activities, improving physical condition, injury prevention, and health promotion.

The Socio-sports Teaching and Animation cycle will prepare students to lead training sessions, organise sports activities, and coordinate events for different groups and skill levels. The centre says the programmes are designed to combine academic learning, practical experience, and direct contact with the sports world.

Campus Institució Igualada will hold an open day to present the new studies. Prospective students will be able to learn about the educational project, tour the facilities, and speak with the teaching team, coordinated by Roger Tomàs and David Lladó.

Alfons Vila, director of Campus Institució Igualada, said the new cycles will help students train for professional sectors with rising demand. The campus says it has more than 90,000 square metres of sports facilities and spaces that support learning alongside sports practice. For more local education coverage, see our news page.
