Girona province had 2,123 homes advertised for more than €1 million at the end of June 2026, placing it sixth in Spain, according to Idealista listings data. For prospective buyers and sellers in the Girona area, the figures show that high-value stock has fallen by 477 homes in a year while the province has retained its position among Spain's largest luxury property markets.
The listings accounted for 5% of Spain's 46,454 homes advertised above €1 million. Only Málaga, Madrid, the Balearic Islands, Barcelona and Alicante had more properties in that price bracket.
Luxury listings fall while Spain-wide supply rises
Girona had 2,600 homes listed above €1 million a year earlier. The reduction to 2,123 represents a fall of more than 18%, and reduced the province's share of the national total from 6% to 5%.
Across Spain, the number of homes advertised above €1 million rose from 43,707 to 46,454 over the same period, an increase of 2,747 properties, or nearly 6%.
- Málaga led the market with 9,472 listings above €1 million.
- Madrid had 9,276 such listings, followed by the Balearic Islands with 8,060.
- Barcelona recorded 5,492 listings and Alicante 5,466, before Girona's 2,123.
The six leading provinces together held 39,889 of the 46,454 listings above €1 million, almost 86% of the national supply.
263 Girona homes were listed above €3 million
In the most expensive segment, Girona had 263 homes advertised above €3 million at the end of June 2026. That was 3% of the 10,511 properties available nationally and kept the province in sixth place.
The figure was down from 293 a year earlier, a reduction of 30 homes, or just over 10%. Nationally, listings above €3 million increased from 8,725 to 10,511, a rise of more than 20%.
Málaga had 3,671 homes above €3 million, followed by the Balearic Islands with 2,942 and Madrid with 1,830. Barcelona recorded 608 and Alicante 506, while Santa Cruz de Tenerife had 247 and Cádiz 232.
