Girona, the Catalan city, is the starting point for a new international push by the Girona Chamber of Commerce’s Health and Wellbeing Hub, which is in Mexico to seek business alliances and new market opportunities for local companies.
The delegation will take part in Expo Med Guadalajara 2026, a major medical trade fair, and will also hold strategic meetings with hospitals, business clusters and institutions in Jalisco. The Chamber says the trip is aimed at strengthening the international presence of Girona’s health and wellbeing sector.
According to the Chamber, the visit is part of its wider effort to support the internationalisation of local businesses. It is also intended to build links that can improve innovation, competitiveness and access to overseas markets for companies in the sector.
The Chamber hopes the meetings in Mexico will lead to longer-term collaborations and export opportunities for Catalan firms working in the medical field. Jalisco is one of Mexico’s regions with a strong healthcare system, making it a relevant place for the delegation’s talks.
