Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum will host the 53rd Feria de Abril de Catalunya from Friday, 24 April, to Sunday, 3 May, marking the return of one of the city's most popular spring cultural events. This year's festival will again offer free entry, a change from last year's paid access.
The ten-day programme includes the 1 May public holiday, which organisers expect will draw larger crowds. The event, organised by the Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (FECAC) with support from Barcelona City Council and other public bodies, will fill the Parc del Fòrum with traditional casetas, music, and Andalusian food.
Celebrating Gaudí and Andalusian Culture
The official poster for the 2026 fair, created by Mediaclip, blends Andalusian tradition with Barcelona's unique identity. It features a colourful peineta, a traditional Spanish comb, with the façade of Casa Batlló depicted at its top. This design is a nod to Gaudí Year 2026, which commemorates the centenary of the architect's death.
The poster was unveiled at Casa Batlló itself. During the presentation, Daniel Salinero, president of FECAC, confirmed that entry to the fair would be free, reversing the decision to charge for access that was implemented for the first time last year. This ensures the Feria de Abril de Catalunya remains accessible to everyone.
