Flamenco festival runs 13–17 October
The 6th Terrassa Flamenco Festival takes place from 13 to 17 October, organised by the Coordinadora d’Entitats Andaluses de Terrassa (CEAT) with support from the Ajuntament de Terrassa, the city's municipal government. This year’s event features a three-day programme celebrating Andalusian folk music across multiple city venues. It begins on Tuesday 13 October at 18:30 at Casa Alegre de Sagrera with the talk 'Evolution of Flamenco' by María García Parras, a flamenco specialist trained in formal flamenco studies. The evening includes performances by Las Jipas and Toni and Jordi Díaz, followed by a tasting of wine and ham.
Street performance and closing concert
On Thursday 15 October at 12:00, professional dancer Rocío Merino will give a free street performance outside Terrassa’s Mercat de la Independència. The festival concludes on Saturday 17 October at 18:30 with a performance by internationally acclaimed flamenco dancer Farruquito at the Teatre Principal de Terrassa. The show, titled Farruquito & Quinteto Flamenco, is described by organisers as a 'must-see' event that captures the pure essence of flamenco through dance, rhythm and emotion.
Deixa’t emocionar per un espectacle únic, on cada zapateado, cada compàs i cada moviment transmeten l’essència més pura del flamenc.
