In El Vendrell, residents can now take part in a public survey on the town’s new Municipal Urban Planning Plan, known as the POUM. The council says the consultation is meant to bring local views into the first stage of drafting the document.

The survey also gathers input for the Comprehensive Intervention Memory Programme, which forms part of the Catalan government’s 2026 Neighbourhood Plan call. According to the council, both processes are intended to reflect community needs in future planning.

The POUM is the main document that sets the urban planning rules for a municipality. It covers matters such as land use, building heights and infrastructure, and this consultation is an early step in updating El Vendrell’s current plan.

The council says public participation is important for shaping how the town develops in the years ahead. Residents can complete the survey online and help inform decisions on housing, public spaces and infrastructure.
