In Catalonia, people using La Meva Salut from the web can access more services if they log in with a digital certificate. The Catalan Health Service says this option offers more features than a password or idCAT Mòbil.
To use La Meva Salut, a person must be 16 or older, have a valid individual health card, known as a TSI, and use one of the recognised digital identification systems. The available options are idCAT Mòbil, a personal password, or a digital certificate.
A personal password must be requested in person at a local health centre, or CAP. Applicants need to show their TSI and an official document, such as a DNI, NIE or passport. They also have to register an email address and a mobile phone number. Each time they log in, they receive a five-digit SMS code as a second security step.
idCAT Mòbil is another option for both the website and the app. It uses a one-time code sent by SMS and can be obtained in person at citizen service offices or online through a digital form. For more information on the service, readers can visit the news tag page.
The digital certificate gives access to the web version of La Meva Salut and also activates extra services. With it, users can consult their digital clinical history from the National Health System and download their European patient summary and other health documents. The Generalitat says valid certificates include those recognised by the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia, such as the electronic DNI, and certificates listed in Europe’s trusted services under Regulation 910/2014.
If someone has a digital certificate but cannot use it to access La Meva Salut, they should ask the issuing body to request its inclusion among the certificates accepted by the Catalan Health Service. The process can be handled by contacting 061 Salut Respon.
