Cerdanyola del Vallès council has approved the start of proceedings to transfer a municipal plot in Parc de l'Alba to the Generalitat de Catalunya. This move aims to build a new Primary Care Centre (CAP), significantly improving public health services in the city.
The agreement represents a key step forward for local healthcare. The future CAP will be located on Avinguda Córdoba, a strategic point designed to serve Parc de l'Alba and Bellaterra, while also helping to ease pressure on the existing CAP Serraparera.
The plot, which spans over 3,300 square metres, is currently municipal property and designated for public use. Through this operation, known as a subjective patrimonial mutation, the land will transfer to the Generalitat without losing its public nature or its designated healthcare use.
Ensuring Public Service
The municipal government highlighted that this decision reflects a commitment to using public assets for the benefit of citizens. It also helps the competent administration to develop the new facility under the best possible conditions. The agreement includes guarantees that the land's healthcare use will be maintained; if it is not used for this purpose, ownership will revert to the council.
This approval starts the administrative process, which involves requesting technical reports and completing the necessary legal procedures before the cession can be formalised. The proposal received favourable votes from PSC, ERC, PP, Junts per Cerdanyola, and VOX. Guanyem Cerdanyola and En Comú Podem voted against the measure.
