Catalonia’s heritage sites will host 27 summer music events in 2026, with concerts and festivals taking place in historic settings across the region. The programme is organised by the Catalan Cultural Heritage Agency and includes venues such as Santes Creus Monastery, Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery and the Museum of Catalan History.
The line-up spans ancient music, classical, jazz, folk, roots music and contemporary acts, with Catalan and international artists on the bill. It is a broad summer programme that links live music with monuments, museums and archaeological sites across Catalonia.
Among the main events is the Jordi Savall Festival at Santes Creus Monastery, which runs from 10 to 16 August. The 2026 edition will also extend to Montblanc, Valls and Alcover, along the Cistercian Route. The theme is “the eclipse”, and the programme includes performances by Hespèrion XXI, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Le Concert des Nations and Orpheus 21, plus lectures and concerts by young artists.
In Alt Empordà, Portalblau will bring La Fúmiga and Naina, Judit Neddermann and Gio Symphonia, and Sopa de Cabra to MAC Empúries on 7, 8 and 9 August. In Vilabertran, the Terrer Festival will close on 12 July with Tasto Solo, while the 34th Schubertíada will pay tribute to Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau on the centenary of his birth, with Matthias Goerne, Florian Boesch, Andrè Schuen and Samuel Hasselhorn among the performers.
Other confirmed events include concerts at MAC Ullastret, the Llamp! Festival at Escornalbou Castle-Monastery on 20 June, and the Summer Nights at the Museum of Catalan History in Barcelona, which will fill Wednesday evenings in July with performances by Santa Salut, Joan Garriga and Madjid Fahem, Maria Hein and Gregotechno. The museum’s terrace overlooks Barcelona Port, and the concerts are set at sunset.
