Catalonia’s summer festival season is set to run from June to August 2026, with music, dance, theatre and poetry events across the region. From the Costa Brava to the Tarragona coast, the programme brings together international artists and local talent, according to Barcelona Metropolitan.
In L’Escala, the Portalblau Festival runs from 26 June to 29 August. The event includes music, dance, poetry and theatre in settings by the Mediterranean Sea, with Clara Peya, Amaia Miranda and Sopa de Cabra on the line-up. The festival also supports emerging local artists and promotes social and environmental values.
Calella, in Barcelona province, hosts Nits d’Estiu Calella from 26 June to 29 August, with performances by Koko-Jean & The Tonics, ABBA The New Experience and Andrea Motis. Further south, Vilanova i la Geltrú stages the Vida Festival from 2 to 4 July at Masia d’en Cabanyes, a neoclassical mansion. Fatboy Slim, Amaia and Maria Arnal are scheduled to perform, and the festival includes a children’s area with storytelling, instrument-building workshops and circus acts.
In Girona province, the Cap Roig Festival runs from 3 July to 18 August in Calella de Palafrugell, using the open-air stage at Cap Roig Castle. The site, built in 1927, includes a botanic garden of 17 hectares with more than 1,000 plant species. Bryan Adams, Diana Krall and Miguel Ríos are confirmed, and the venue also offers dining options, including a Michelin-star restaurant. Official Cap Roig Festival site
Sant Feliu de Guíxols will host the Porta Ferrada Festival from 10 July to 19 August. Named after a 10th-century iron gate, it covers jazz, pop, rock, folk, classical theatre, ballet and flamenco. The opening concert, The Silk Road, marks the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death, and Angus & Julia Stone, Snarky Puppy and The Corrs are also listed. El Vendrell will host the Pau Casals International Music Festival in July, with a focus on classical and chamber music, especially cello works. Official Porta Ferrada Festival site
Other summer dates include the Festival Castell de Peralada, held since 1987 in a medieval castle grounds, with rock, pop, ballet and opera, and Sons del Món in Roses, which uses the ancient Ciutadella and includes food trucks and wines from the D.O.
