Train services on the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) Barcelona-Vallès line were interrupted on Monday in Sant Cugat del Vallès after a car ended up on the tracks.
The incident occurred in La Floresta, forcing the suspension of trains between Les Planes and Sant Cugat stations, according to FGC officials. The service has since returned to normal.
Firefighters reported that the vehicle was travelling on a road parallel to the tracks when it collided with a wall, subsequently invading one of the rails. Four fire crews attended the scene to remove the car and debris from the collapsed wall.
Local Police confirmed the driver sustained minor injuries and tested negative for alcohol. The cause of the collision with the wall is not yet known.
