Cadaqués, in Girona, has launched a new walking tour focused on Salvador Dalí’s life and work. The route, created by the Friends of the Dalí Museums, includes around 30 points of interest linked to the artist’s time in the town.

The first guided walk took place on 30 May 2026 and drew about 50 visitors. Among those present were Cadaqués mayor Pia Serinyana, journalist Josep Playà, who designed the route, and Carles Ayats, president of the Friends of the Dalí Museums.

The itinerary includes places such as Sa Conca, Casa Lídia, the Pitxot Monolith, the statue of Lorca and the Town Hall. It also reflects Dalí’s wider connection to the area, including his family’s summer home in Cadaqués and his later residence in Portlligat, now a house-museum.

The Friends of the Dalí Museums say the route is intended to broaden the cultural offer in the area and help visitors understand Dalí’s creative process and personal history. It also highlights the influence of figures such as Federico García Lorca on the artist’s work.

Officials hope the route will become a regular attraction in Cadaqués and bring more cultural visitors to the town. Future guided tours and self-guided options will be announced by the Friends of the Dalí Museums. For more local coverage, see news.
