Bàsquet Girona's cadet team has qualified for the Spanish Championship, which will take place in Algeciras from 17 to 23 May. The Girona-based squad secured their place by defeating Baxi Manresa 70-67 in the third and fourth-place play-off of the Catalan Championship.

This achievement adds to a strong year for Bàsquet Girona's youth academy. The club's junior team also qualified for the Spanish Championship earlier this season, becoming the first male youth team from the club to compete against the country's top formative sides, according to Diari de Girona.

Youth Success Continues

The cadet team's qualification means that two of Bàsquet Girona's male youth teams will now compete at the national level. This reflects a period of excellent results for the club's development programme, highlighting its growing presence in Spanish youth basketball.
