Barcelona has put traffic restrictions and parking bans in place today, 24 May 2026, for the institutional celebration of FC Barcelona’s UEFA Women’s Champions League win. The public event, with players and coaching staff, starts at 7pm on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina.

Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina was closed from 6am to allow stage construction. The stage is on Avinguda de Rius i Taulet, near Plaça de l’Univers, facing Plaça d’Espanya. Around 6:50pm, traffic will also be isolated on Avinguda de Rius i Taulet between Carrer de Mèxic and Carrer de la Guàrdia Urbana to help vehicle movements.

Parking has been banned on both carriageways of Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina since 8am on Saturday, 23 May, and the restriction will stay in place until midnight tonight, Sunday, 24 May. The city says the plan is designed to keep traffic moving and support the event.

Guàrdia Urbana, Barcelona’s local police, has organised the security and traffic plan. Drivers and residents in the area should expect delays and follow the posted diversions and instructions from officers on site.
