Barcelona Mayor Jaume Collboni is set to unveil the 'Tour de France Major Festival' programme on Friday, 15 May, at 11am in the Saló de les Cròniques at Barcelona City Council. This festival, packed with events, will serve as a prelude to the Grand Départ of the Tour de France from the Catalan capital.

The 'Tour de France Major Festival' will run from 26 June to 5 July, bringing activities to all city districts. The events are designed to connect residents with the race atmosphere and establish Barcelona as the central point for the cycling spectacle.

Culinary and Cultural Highlights

During the presentation, officials will reveal the festival's official poster and a full schedule of activities. A new gastronomic initiative, the 'Pa del Tour' (Tour Bread), will also be introduced. This special bread is promoted by the Barcelona Bakers' Guild and created by local baker Enric Badia Elias.

The festival aims to build excitement across the city, ensuring that the spirit of the Tour de France is felt long before the cyclists begin their journey. It represents a significant effort to involve the community in this major international sporting event.
