Barcelona is set for notable temperature changes on Thursday, 14 May, driven by shifting wind patterns, according to Betevé's weather forecast. The day will start cool, warm up considerably, and then see a sharp drop in the evening.

The morning will begin with a fresh feel, with minimum temperatures around 15 or 16 ºC in central Barcelona at 6am. Clear skies are expected at 9am, followed by high and medium clouds by midday. The afternoon will bring moderate westerly winds, reaching over 50 km/h in many parts of the central coast and pre-coastal areas, including Barcelona, from midday onwards. These winds will be reheated, making it feel like late May.

Evening Wind Shift Brings Cooler Air

As the day progresses, the wind will shift to an easterly direction in the late afternoon, first in Maresme and then in Barcelonès. This change will cause a sudden drop in temperature and bring increased cloud cover to these areas by 9pm. The evening will see temperatures fall sharply due to this easterly wind.

Looking ahead, Friday is expected to bring a cold front, increasing instability. This will lead to more cloud development, with showers and storms likely between the afternoon and evening. While precipitation is set to decrease over the weekend, cooler temperatures for the time of year will persist.
