The Baix Llobregat Tourism Consortium has launched a new edition of its special discount coupons for 2026, designed to help families enjoy unique experiences across the region at a more affordable price. This initiative aims to make cultural and natural attractions more accessible to local families, highlighting the area's diverse tourism offerings.
This year's programme includes three new venues with special discounts. The El Prat Municipal Sailing Centre offers a 20% discount on paddle surfing and kayaking, bringing nautical experiences to families. The Sedó Colony Museum in Esparreguera provides a two-for-one promotion, allowing visitors to explore life in 19th and 20th-century textile colonies and enter an impressive hydraulic turbine.
Molins de Rei's Renaissance Museum also joins the scheme with a 50% discount, inviting families on a journey to discover how the Renaissance transformed culture and daily life in Catalonia. The campaign also promotes Baix Llobregat's Modernist heritage, especially during the 2026 Gaudí Year celebrations.
Discovering Modernist Gems
Families can explore the region's Modernist attractions, such as Gaudí's Crypt and Colònia Güell, Can Negre in Sant Joan Despí, and the former Pujol i Bausis ceramic factory, 'La Rajoleta', with its 'Gaudí and Esplugues' experience. This experience introduces Gaudí's work and Modernism to a family audience. The Museum of Water in Cornellà de Llobregat, located in a Modernist industrial complex that served as Barcelona's main drinking water pumping station, features a replica of the Vicens waterfall.
Beyond Modernism, this edition encourages families to embark on new adventures with discounts and activities for all ages. At the Montserrat Caves in Collbató, visitors can explore a fascinating underground world filled with surprising formations. The Sant Boi Museum at Can Barraquer offers insights into past eras.
Adventures and Learning for All Ages
At Castelldefels Castle and Piratia, families can immerse themselves in pirate stories and defend the coast in an action-packed experience. The Museum of Mathematics of Catalonia (MMACA) allows children to interact with mathematics through play, while Catalunya en Miniatura offers a chance to see Catalonia's major monuments in miniature and enjoy adventure activities.
The Gavà Mines Archaeological Park provides an opportunity to explore unique prehistoric mines, and the Olympic Canal of Catalonia offers boat rides in a relaxing family environment. Additionally, children visiting the Llobregat Delta Natural Spaces will receive a 'Paint and Discover' poster to continue their experience at home.
This initiative reinforces Baix Llobregat's commitment to a diverse, accessible, and region-wide cultural and leisure offering. To obtain the coupons, visitors simply need to complete a form on the www.turismebaixllobregat.com/cupons website and choose whether to receive them by post or download them instantly. Downloaded coupons can be printed or shown directly from a mobile phone at each establishment to claim the promotion.
