Psychologist Antoni Bolinches will open the Dedins wellness cycle with a conference in Roses on 16 May. The event, organised by Roses Town Council's Tourism Department, aims to help people connect with themselves through nature.

The accelerated pace of life and constant digital connection often lead to stress and personal disconnection, according to officials. Wellness experiences have become a real need for many, with wellness tourism now a major global trend. The Global Wellness Institute reports this sector is worth over €3 trillion worldwide and continues to grow, driven by individuals seeking health, awareness, and quality of life through travel.

This year's Dedins cycle runs from May to October, offering a programme that encourages exploring new ways to connect with oneself through contact with nature and the local environment at different locations and seasons.

Bolinches to Discuss Self-Esteem and Happiness

The inaugural event will take place on Saturday, 16 May, at 7pm at the Municipal Theatre. It will feature an activity combining reflection, experience, and wellness. The session starts with the conference “Autoestima y Felicidad” (Self-Esteem and Happiness), presented by Antoni Bolinches.

Bolinches is a leading figure in humanistic psychology in Spain and Latin America, with over forty years of professional experience. He has authored numerous books on psychology and personal development and is known for his podcast with Àlex Rovira and Francesc Miralles, where they discuss personal growth, meaning in life, and emotional well-being.

Following Bolinches' conference, Edgar Tarrés will lead an immersive wellness experience. Tarrés is a wellness tourism specialist, a professor of wellness and happiness at the University of Girona's Faculty of Tourism, and co-founder of the Silence Institute. Through various practices of awareness, breathing, and presence, attendees can integrate the conference's concepts into a direct, sensory experience.

Promoting Wellness Tourism in Roses

The event will also present the full programme of wellness experiences available in Roses between May and October. This programme invites both residents and visitors to explore the area through practices that link nature and consciousness, promoting a tourism model that focuses on people, health, and the local area.

This marks the second edition of “Dedins al Teatre”, following the success of last year's event, which featured a conference by Sílvia Susach and attracted a large audience interested in wellness and personal development.

The Roses Town Council's Tourism Department organises the event, with support from the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board. The goal is to promote initiatives that position Roses as a destination committed to experiences combining culture, knowledge, and well-being.
