Salt and Girona were the focus on Sunday morning as more than 600 people took part in the first Anti-Racist Run between the two towns. All bib numbers were sold out for the event, which brought runners together to protest racism.
The run was organised by nearly 80 organisations and is part of a wider series. According to the organisers, it is one of nine Top Manta runs against racism taking place across Catalonia.
The blue shirts worn by participants made the turnout visible across the route, linking the event to a broader public message of inclusion and solidarity. The run added a local moment to a regional campaign against racism through sport and community action.
The Top Manta series is intended to raise awareness and support for street vendors, many of whom are migrants and face discrimination. More information on the wider campaign can be found through the organisers and related coverage on Catalan News.
