A former hotel, restaurant and nightclub in Agramunt, in the Lleida area of Catalonia, has been used as a filming location for a new Movistar Plus+ series. The building, known as Kipps, hosted production this week and drew local attention.

The shoot took four days. Set assembly began on Monday and Tuesday, main filming took place on Wednesday, and dismantling was due on Thursday. Around 140 people, including technical crew, production staff and extras, worked inside the building on Wednesday, according to local reports.

The series, Todo lo necesario, is a collaboration between Movistar Plus+ and Lastor Media. It is directed by Marcel Barrena and Fernando Trullols, and is a three-episode political thriller inspired by the 2009 kidnapping of three Spanish aid workers by Al-Qaeda and the negotiations that followed.

The cast includes David Verdaguer, Enric Auquer, Marina Salas and Mónica López. The production uses several locations, including Senegal and Spanish settings such as Barcelona, Murcia and Agramunt. In this case, filming focused on the restaurant area and a couple of hotel rooms at Kipps.

Ramon Bochaca of Ponent i Acció said his organisation supported Lastor Media with location scouting, accommodation, catering and professional services. He said the Agramunt scenes form a small part of the series, placed towards the end of the story.

The series is expected to premiere in 2027. Ponent i Acció said the filming generated an estimated economic return of between €15,000 and €20,000 for the local area, and it is already working on another shoot scheduled for this month at the same Kipps location.
