The man was taken to Sant Joan de Reus hospital conscious, suffering from what appeared to be less severe injuries than expected, according to sources investigating the incident. He sustained mainly contusions and possible fractures.

Emergency services received an alert via the 112 phone number shortly before midday. The call reported a person had fallen from the top of a factory building in the AgroReus industrial estate.

Emergency Response in AgroReus

Mossos d'Esquadra patrols and several SEM (Medical Emergency System) ambulances attended the scene on Ignasi Iglèsies street in the AgroReus industrial estate. Firefighters were also dispatched but their intervention was not ultimately required, officials said.

Investigators indicated the worker was on the roof of the factory repairing an air conditioning unit when he slipped. The exact causes of the fall have not been released. Despite the significant height, the worker's survival and conscious state were considered fortunate.
