Valls will host the tenth edition of "L'Aeròbic Day" on Saturday, 21 March, at the Xavier Tondo i Volpini pavilion, an event that also marks the 40th anniversary of the Municipal Sports Board (PME). The masterclass, featuring four sessions of different aerobic styles, is a key part of the town's International Women's Day programme, which runs from 3 to 25 March, according to Valls officials.
Registrations for the event, supported by the Department of Equality and Feminisms of Valls City Council, opened on Monday, 2 March. The sports day is open to all participants over 14 years old from Valls, Alt Camp, and other areas of Camp de Tarragona.
The Aeròbic Day will start at 10am and continue for over three hours, offering various aerobic modalities and musical styles. This year's event will be led by PME technicians, the head of activities for Reus Deportiu, and a guest instructor.
Instructors and Sessions
The classes will be conducted by the PME's specialist technicians: Anna Arbós, Maria Benaiges, and Tamara Mansilla. Genís Llopis, who is responsible for activities at the Reus Deportiu club and has participated since the first edition in 2014, will also be involved. The 40th anniversary celebration will feature guest instructor Jordi Murtró, a well-known Zumba instructor in Alt Camp and Conca de Barberà, who has successfully led groups for over a decade. Murtró currently runs sessions in L'Espluga de Francolí, Montblanc, and Vilabella.
The activity schedule begins at 10am with a Line Dance session led by Tamara Mansilla. At 10:45am, Maria Benaiges will direct the first Zumba session. Following this, at 11:15am, Anna Arbós and Genís Llopis will lead a choreographed functional toning activity. The masterclass will continue at 12pm with Jordi Murtró, who will lead a second Zumba session.
Final Disco Party and Registration Details
To conclude the nearly three-hour event, a "Final Disco Party" will start at 12:45pm. The entire technical team, led by Jordi Murtró, will propose simple choreographies designed for everyone to enjoy, bringing the day to a close. Refreshments will be available throughout the morning to help participants maintain their energy.
