Two men have been arrested in Reus, Tarragona, in connection with the violent death of another man at a farmhouse. Mossos d'Esquadra officers made the arrests after responding to reports of a fight on Saturday, 16 May 2026.

Police sources said they received an alert around 2pm on Saturday about a suspected altercation inside a farmhouse in the Baix Camp capital. Several citizen security units were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found the body of a man with signs of violence.

Two other men were also present at the location. One of them reportedly attempted to flee when police arrived. Both men, aged 46 and 79, were subsequently arrested for their alleged involvement in the violent death, Mossos d'Esquadra confirmed on Monday.

Investigation Underway

The Mossos d'Esquadra's Criminal Investigation Division has opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident. The case is currently under a secrecy order, meaning details cannot be publicly disclosed at this stage.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased man or the arrested individuals. Further information is expected as the investigation progresses and the secrecy order is lifted.
