In Tortosa, a 20-year-old man was arrested twice on Friday, 22 May, after first climbing onto the roof of a bus and later damaging several parked cars in the Temple neighbourhood, according to local police.
Emergency services received a 112 call at about 2.45pm about a man on a bus roof in Lamote de Grignon street who refused to come down. Mossos d'Esquadra, Tortosa Local Police, SEM medical teams and firefighters attended the scene, and firefighters deployed a ladder truck.
The bus remained stopped for more than 30 minutes while passengers waited inside and emergency staff tried to persuade the man to descend. He eventually came down voluntarily, and no injuries were reported. He was then arrested for resistance and disobedience to authority.
Later that night, after being released, he returned to the area near the Tortosa bus station and allegedly damaged several parked cars, including smashing some windows.
The Tortosa Local Police arrested him again that day in connection with the vandalism. For more Catalonia news, see news.
