Terrassa’s ActiVallès Employment Fair has completed its second edition, with organisers saying it helped create about 1,500 connections between job seekers and companies. The event was run by the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce and took place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.
The hybrid fair recorded 705 registered participants. According to the Chamber’s statement on Wednesday, 33 companies took part and presented 200 job offers covering 416 vacancies.
The Chamber said the event stood out for its strong business participation, the need for hiring, and the range of jobs on offer. Sònia Pardines, project coordinator for training and head of the ActiVallès Fair, said the hybrid format worked well. She said 40% of registered participants joined through the online platform, which gave candidates more flexibility and companies a wider territorial reach.
Pardines also said the data points to a change in candidate profiles compared with the 2025 edition. She said there was a notable presence of young people with post-compulsory education, including vocational training and university studies.
Women made up 60% of participants, while 40% were over 45 years old, according to the Chamber. The fair’s second edition suggests continued demand for direct contact between employers and candidates in Terrassa.
