Tarragona Provincial Council has opened €1.4 million in grants to support quality agri-food and artisan products, and to strengthen the tourism image of Costa Daurada and Terres de l'Ebre. The council said the funding is double last year’s amount, and the calls were announced on 27 May 2026.
The grants are open to public bodies, including town councils, regional councils, decentralised municipal entities and associations of municipalities. Dependent bodies such as autonomous organisations and public companies, as well as chambers of commerce in Costa Daurada and Terres de l'Ebre, may also apply. Private non-profit groups, including associations and cooperatives, and regulatory councils are eligible too.
Eligible spending includes trade fairs and markets, workshops, tastings, gastronomic events, and online and offline promotion and communication campaigns. Applications must be submitted by 30 June. Full details are available through the news tag page and the Tarragona Provincial Council’s official services guide: Diputació de Tarragona.
The council has also opened a separate subsidy call worth €400,000 for specific tourism programmes and marketing and destination management work. This second line is aimed at municipal and regional tourism boards and offices, as well as town and regional councils in the province.
That call covers four types of action: smart tourist destination projects, work linked to Strategic Tourism Plans, online promotion, and the creation, improvement and updating of tourism websites. It also includes quality distinctions for beaches. The deadline for this second call is also 30 June.
According to the council, full information on both grant calls, including application procedures, is available in its Services Guide.
