Solsona has launched Aquí, pots, a new network of 43 support points across the town for people who need urgent help while out in public. The scheme was led by the Children and Adolescent Council, with the idea coming from children and young people in the town.

The network is designed for situations where someone may need to make a phone call, use a toilet, ask for directions, or speak to a trusted adult. Council representatives said the project also aims to help young people gain more independence and rely less on mobile phones.

Although the idea came from children and teenagers, the service is open to anyone in Solsona. The council said the aim is to help make the town a more friendly, safe and welcoming place for everyone.

The network includes 15 public facilities and 28 private businesses, with support from the UBIC local business association. Public locations include the Solsona Museum, the Solsonès Health Centre, the Xavier Jounou Civic and Community Centre, and the sports complex. Shops, bars and other businesses also take part.

Each participating site displays an orange sign at the entrance showing whether it offers telephone access, toilet use, or both. The organisers said this makes it easier for people to find help quickly in an unexpected situation. The locations are spread across the urban centre, from the Manresa road entrance to the old town, including the promenade, Sant Jordi Avenue and the area around Mare de la Font Park.

The Solsona City Council wants to expand the network further. Businesses that want to join can apply to the council, and the updated list of support points will be published on the municipal website in the Childhood section. The project will also be promoted through leaflets, maps and social media, and it was carried out by the Solsona City Council and the Solsonès Youth Office, with support from the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Solsonès County Council, the Solsona Museum and the UBIC.
