The Ska Punk Fest in Tàrrega, in the Lleida area, was cancelled in the early hours of Sunday, 7 June 2026, after two attendees were taken to hospital, one in critical condition. Police sources confirmed the incident, which brought the festival’s second edition to an early end.
The events happened around 2am at the festival site. Two ambulances from the Medical Emergency System, known as SEM, and local police officers attended the scene. Both people were taken to Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida. One person collapsed at the festival, needed CPR, and was later stabilised before being transferred in a critical condition. The other person was affected by a separate illness and was less seriously hurt.
Organisers then suspended the rest of the morning’s programme. Concerts had been due to run until 5.30am, but they ended about three hours earlier, at around 2.30am. In a statement on social media, the organisers said that, despite the people being transferred stable to hospital, they felt it was their duty to cancel the concerts.
They also thanked the audience for its understanding and civility during what they described as a delicate moment. The camping service remained open after the cancellation.
The festival had turned Tàrrega into a centre for alternative music over two days, with more than 20 bands scheduled. Soziedad Alkoholika were due to headline, alongside Les Testarudes, Dr. Ring Ding, Green Valley, Roy Ellis, Maria i Sus Kogollos, El Último Ke Zierre, Segis, La Élite and Non Servium. The cancelled acts included Envidia Kotxina, Lop and Kinki Velvet.
Attendance on Friday was about 3,500 people, with 4,500 expected on Saturday. The afternoon and early evening programme had gone ahead normally before the emergency. For more local coverage, see our news page.
