Emergency teams in Roses, in Alt Empordà, are continuing the search for a 16-year-old boy who went missing during a guided jet ski tour. The teenager disappeared on Tuesday night, prompting a large-scale operation involving several agencies.

Maritime Rescue received the alert at around 10.45pm on Tuesday after the tour company realised the boy had not arrived at the Santa Margarida area, which was the meeting point for the group after the excursion.

The search was activated immediately and has continued into Wednesday morning. Personnel from the fire brigade, Mossos d'Esquadra, Guardia Civil and Roses local police are involved, with Maritime Rescue also deploying a helicopter and several rescue vessels.

The focus remains on the coastal waters around Roses and the Santa Margarida area. Authorities have not released the teenager's identity or further details about the circumstances of his disappearance.
