Sant Cugat del Vallès will receive more than €13.5 million from the Generalitat de Catalunya budget, with funding set aside for the National Archive of Catalonia, Institut Escola Catalunya and other local projects.
The largest item is €4.5 million for the first phase of expanding the archive’s document storage facilities at its Sant Cugat site. A further €3.7 million is planned for the expansion of Institut Escola Catalunya.
The budget also includes €1.2 million for renovations at the Catalan Health Service’s Metropolitan North Health Region headquarters. According to the budget document, this work is intended to improve facilities for regional health administration.
Other allocations cover energy efficiency and renewable energy measures in Sant Cugat. These include photovoltaic panels at the Volpelleres FGC station and energy improvements at the Centre for the Restoration of Movable Goods of Catalonia.
