The Government Commission of Barcelona City Council has given final approval for the remodelling project of Sant Adrià and Otger streets in the Sant Andreu district, Barcelona. This initiative aims to create a new single-platform axis, prioritising pedestrians.

The project focuses on transforming the area by integrating vegetation and creating a more accessible environment for residents. This significant urban development is set to enhance the quality of life in the neighbourhood.

According to Barcelona City Council officials, the reform will establish a "citizen axis" in the heart of the neighbourhood. "The reform will allow the creation of a citizen axis in the centre of the neighbourhood, in an area with a lot of activity, where there is a library and where many children pass," an official stated.

The approved plans are expected to improve safety and accessibility for the many children and residents who frequent the area, particularly around the local library. Further details on the project's timeline and implementation are anticipated.
