Barcelona club UE Sant Andreu have made their first signing for the new Primera RFEF season, bringing in defender Félix Garreta. The 22-year-old centre-back joins from Antequera as the team prepares for its debut campaign in the division.

Garreta was signed by Real Betis from Damm as a first-year youth player. He later played a full La Liga match for Betis against Athletic Club at San Mamés on 12 December 2022, when coach Manuel Pellegrini selected him because Germán Pezzella, Edgar and Víctor Ruiz were unavailable.

He also had a strong spell with Amorebieta in the 2023-24 Segunda División season. In that campaign, he played 31 matches, scored four goals and provided one assist, while logging nearly 2,500 minutes at the age of 20.

Garreta spent the second half of last season at Antequera, where he made 14 appearances and played 997 minutes. Before that, he featured five times for Real Betis B, totalling 405 minutes.

Born in Palau-solità i Plegamans, Garreta is 1.83 metres tall and is described as a quick left-footed central defender who can also play at full-back. Betevé reported that his career was interrupted by a serious domestic accident that nearly cost him his life.
