Roses, Girona, will host the Ruta de la Tramuntana sailing regatta this weekend, 17 years after its last visit. The event is co-organised by Enregata, Club Nàutic El Balís and Club d'Esports Nàutics GEN Roses, and is sanctioned by the Catalan Sailing Federation with support from Port de Roses.

The regatta is the third scoring event of the 2026 Circuit Regates Ausmar. On Friday 5 June at 13:00, the fleet will start from Club Nàutic El Balís for a 60-nautical-mile offshore race to Roses. The club, which has co-organised the regatta since its first edition, will award the Trofeu Club Nàutic El Balís to the real-time winner.

Roses hosted the Ruta de la Tramuntana between 2005 and 2008, with four editions held in that period. Organisers say the return is supported by the quality of the facilities and the sailing conditions in the Bay of Roses.

On Saturday 6 June at 14:00, the second race will take place on a coastal course of about 12 nautical miles in the Bay of Roses. The first boat to finish will receive the Trofeu Ajuntament de Roses, while the combined general classification from both races will decide the overall winner of the 2026 edition.

The overall champion will receive the Trofeu Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona. This year’s entry list includes 20 boats, among them Rauxa, an X-35 skippered by Eduard Vega of CN El Balís, Pekas X, a JOD 35 skippered by Pepe Navarro of CM Port Olímpic, and Diabolic, a Sun Fast 35 skippered by Glenn De Brouwer from the Royal Belgium Sailing Club.

Diabolic arrives after winning La Ruta de la Sal Rumbo Ibiza and finishing third in the Bahía de Pollença race. The best-placed yacht captain in the general standings will also receive the Trofeu RAECY, part of a third consecutive year of collaboration with RAECY.
