Roses, in Girona, will once again host the start of the Transpyr Coast to Coast cycling event on 1 June 2026. The start strengthens the town’s position as a base for active tourism and cycling events in Catalonia.

The event links the Costa Brava with the first landscapes of the Girona Pyrenees, and presents Roses as a coastal town with a strong fit for adventure sport. It also gives riders a starting point in Port de Roses, one of the town’s best-known public spaces.

According to the event details, 60% of participants come from 30 different countries. That international mix gives Roses wider visibility among cyclists and in the markets they return to after the race.

The start is supported by Roses Town Council and the Costa Brava Girona Pyrenees Tourist Board. Their backing reflects a shared interest in promoting sports tourism across the area.
